How Badges Work

Every game is a chance to earn. Every stat line tells a story. Badges are how the park keeps score beyond the scoreboard.

Three Ways To Earn

Rucker Park Streetball tracks three kinds of badges. Game badges for what you do on a given night, Tournament Honors for your run across the whole bracket, and Staff badges handpicked by the people who run the park. No buying them. No shortcuts. You earn it or you don't.

Game Badges

Earned from what you do in a single game. These stack — do it again and the count climbs. Your card shows how many times you've pulled it off, so "40 Piece ×3" means you dropped 40 three times. Consistency is king.

You can't grind for these. Staff-awarded badges are given by the people who run Rucker Park — EJ Tha Mayor, league staff, or through fan votes. They recognize the intangibles that stats don't capture.

The Chase

Your card shows your Chase Line— the badge you're closest to unlocking. It tells you exactly what you need to go get.

3.5 PPG from Bucket Getter

Averaging 21.5 PPG across the tournament means you need to push to 25.0 to earn the Bucket Getter honor.

Tracking Your Progress

Check Your Player Card
Your card shows every badge you've earned and a progress bar toward the honors you're chasing.

Know Your Numbers
Each progress bar shows your current average vs. the honor threshold. Example: "21.5 / 25.0 PPG" means you need 3.5 more PPG to earn Bucket Getter.

Game Badges Stack
Drop 40 three times? Your 40 Piece badge shows "×3". The more you do it, the more it stacks.

Questions

Can I lose a badge?
Game badges are permanent — once earned, they stay on your card forever. Tournament Honors track your live averages, so they can come and go until the bracket ends. Whatever you hold at the end is locked into the record.
When do badges update?
After every game, once the stats are logged. Game badges land as soon as the final buzzer's numbers are in; honors recalculate off your updated averages.
What's the hardest badge to earn?
The Buzzer Beater — you need a game-winner in the final 10 seconds. Closer and a 40 Piece aren't far behind. On the honors side, leading the park in OOH! (Crowd Pleaser) means the whole Mecca is on its feet for you.
How do Staff badges work?
They're handpicked. EJ Tha Mayor awards the Mayor's Pick to players he believes have the IT factor. Crowd Favorite is decided by fan vote. Certified Bucket is awarded by league staff. You can't grind for these — they're recognition of something stats can't measure.
What's OOH!?
OOH! is our crowd-reaction stat — the roar the park lets out on a nasty play. It's tracked by staff every game and it's the heaviest weight in your score. The Crowd Pleaser honor goes to whoever makes the Mecca erupt the most.
