Media Team Intern
Rucker Park Streetball · 2026 Season
Rucker Park Streetball is building a media team to document the 2026 season. We're looking for interns to help capture, produce, and broadcast our games at Rucker Park in Harlem — including videography, photography, live streaming, and on-site technical support.
This is an unpaid, seasonal internship suited to students and early-career creatives looking for hands-on experience and portfolio work in live sports and event media.
What You'll Gain
Build a reel of game footage, highlights, and photography from live events that you can use in future applications and client work.
Gain hands-on experience operating cameras, streaming equipment, and editing on deadline in a live event setting.
Work alongside our production staff, announcers, and brand partners, and earn references for future opportunities.
Your content is published across our channels with credit, reaching our audience of fans, players, and partners.
Responsibilities
- ›Operate cameras courtside to capture game action and event atmosphere
- ›Run and troubleshoot the live stream, including encoders, switchers, audio, and connectivity
- ›Edit highlights, recaps, and short-form clips for social media on a quick turnaround
- ›Shoot photography of players, sponsors, and events
- ›Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and management on game nights
Qualifications
- Experience or familiarity with one or more of: videography, photography, live streaming, audio, editing, or production
- Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues during a live event
- Available for game nights, Monday through Thursday, 5–9 PM, throughout the season
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced live environment
No degree required. Students and early-career applicants are welcome. A portfolio or reel is helpful but not required.
